Our levels program is the next step up form our beginner’s class. Once children have reached a point in our beginners program where they need more of a challenge, we will move them into our levels program.
MAG Junior Levels Program
Our MAG Junior Levels program is for boys who have progressed through our Beginners program.
Classes begin with a thorough warm up, which includes a game or aerobic activity, basic and extended stretching, strength and flexibility.
Boys participating in our MAG Junior Levels Program will work on a variety of skills and learn level specific routines on Floor, High Bar, Vault, Rings, Parallel Bars and Pommel.
At PCYC, we aim to be flexible and supportive of the needs of individual gymnasts. Boys can grade and progress to the next level both within the club and at competitions or gradings.
Essentially, we look at our Junior Levels Program as a recreational program with the opportunity to compete several times throughout the year. We do not pressure any of our gymnasts to compete. Gymnasts choosing not to compete can still participate fully in our program.
WAG Junior Levels Program
Our WAG Junior Levels program is for girls who have progressed through our Beginners program.
Classes begin with a thorough warm up, which includes a game or aerobic activity, basic and extended stretching, strength and flexibility.
Girls participating in our WAG Junior Levels program will work on a variety of skills and learn level specific routines on Floor, Vault, Bars and Beam.
The new Australian WAG levels system has blurred the distinction between the levels, providing a variety of routines on each apparatus for each level. This allows for each gymnast to work to her own strengths. Our WAG coaches can now extend gymnasts in areas where they need more of a challenge, while they fine tune other, more difficult areas.

WAG Intermediate Program
This program is designed for committed gymnasts participating in our Junior Levels Program in need of further extension, who are interested in pursuing gymnastics competitively.
The program is strictly invitational. Invitation is based primarily on ability and commitment. We view this as a transitional stage aimed at developing gymnasts for our senior program. Most gymnasts (there are always exceptions!) move into this program once they have obtained their Level Three Badge. They may still compete at Level Three while they develop more advanced skills.
